Prepare your real estate project in the Verbier region

Based close to Verbier, Swiss-Estate will organise your stay from A to Z.

Looking for a chalet or a flat

Before you travel, it is important that you decide what kind of resort you’re interested in, as well as the type of chalet or flat you’re looking for (number of rooms, budget, etc.). Based on the information you give us, we’ll provide several possibilities, for example in Verbier, Champéry, La Tzoumaz or Champex.

Opening a bank account in Switzerland

Opening a bank account in Switzerland is very straightforward. If you wish, Swiss-Estate’s real estate consultants can also organise this for you during your stay. You’ll need the following documents: your passport, your most recent tax return, a payslip and a debt collection certificate.

Getting a loan

You’ll need to provide 30% of the funds yourself in order to get a loan from your bank, which will amount to 70% of the value of the property you’re purchasing. In Switzerland, there is no particular deadline for paying back the bank – you will just need to pay interest every year.  However, you will need to have paid back half of your loan by the time you are 60 years old.

Signing the deed of sale

If you wish, Swiss-Estate will gladly manage everything for you (contact with the bank, deed of sale, signature, etc.). The documents can be signed with the seller, or a third party may be nominated to sign on your behalf through a proxy. In both cases, Swiss-Estate will handle all the paperwork and will assist you throughout the entire procedure.
